This isn’t just a wedding—it’s a getaway. Together we’ll enjoy a curated mix of events, from fly fishing on the Provo River and cozy mountain breakfasts to an intimate movie night in the iconic Robert Redford Screening Room. As the sun sets behind Mount Timpanogos, we’ll gather for an elegant celebration under the stars, boots and cowboy hats welcome. We can’t wait to share this magical place—and this special chapter of our lives—with all of you.

Our Wedding

Some love stories start with a meet-cute at a coffee shop or gym class. Ours started with the overwhelming panic of medical school orientation in the middle of a pandemic. Drew grew up in sunny Los Angeles, where she spent her childhood convinced she was her dad's official secretary (complete with coin-wrapping duties and very important phone message-taking). She grew up learning the family home development business and being inspired by her older sister's independence and her brother's ability to find humor in absolutely everything. She just happened to take a scenic route through Texas Tech for her Master's in Public Health before landing at Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine.&nbsp; Meanwhile, Mark was growing up in Cabin John, Maryland, perfecting the art of staying outside until dark with his younger brother and best friend. Mark went to the University of Maryland where he volunteered with the fire department and found an even bigger group of guys to do even dumber activities with. He eventually went on to become a police officer in the all too well known Prince George’s County when he got the call about medical school acceptance. He's still convinced someone made a mistake—but hey, we're not complaining about that particular administrative error. One day before classes started, we met and we were basically inseparable since (in the least clingy way possible, we promise). We studied together, stressed together, and took countless walks around the neighborhood—sometimes to review material, sometimes just to remember there was life beyond textbooks. From Idaho to Southampton, New York for clinicals, and finally to Tucson, Arizona where we somehow managed to Couples Match for residency, we've been each other's favorite study partner and adventure buddy. Along the way, we've collected some pretty great memories: cross-country road trips that tested our navigation skills, camping on the Oregon coast, family vacations to tropical places that definitely beat the hospital cafeteria, visits to LA to spoil Drew's nephew Hudson (who is, scientifically speaking, the best nephew ever), and countless trips to our happy place, the house in Heber, Utah. It was on one of those Utah trips that Mark decided to make things official. During a hike with wildflowers and mountain views that could make anyone feel romantic, he got down on one knee and asked Drew to marry him. There may have been some stumbling over words and a ring box that opened upside down, but the important part is that Drew said yes. Because really, after all those years of studying together, who else would put up with our love of femoral lines and Chick-fil-a obsession? Now we're ready to say "I do" in the mountains we love, surrounded by the people who've cheered us on through every step of this adventure. From future Dr. and Dr. to Mr. and Mrs., here's to the next chapter.

Walk of Love&nbsp;is a heartfelt community event brought to life by Drew's cousin, uniting friends, family, and neighbors for a meaningful walk filled with warmth, connection, and compassion.&nbsp;Join us on the lawn outside The Screening Room.

Sundance offers over 20 miles of alpine trails for the beginner to the expert hiker. Thousands of hiking miles beacon beyond Sundance. We have put together a guided hiking experience that will begin at the fire pits outside The Inn.

Hiking

Enjoy two hot tubs and one large relaxation space, sauna, changing rooms, and outdoor shower. The Springs are centrally located to all lodging rooms and accessible all year round.

Sundance offers hour long classes for kids. Classes include beading, hand-built pottery, and painting. Contact Makenzie Rasmussen at 805.390.3758 to reserve. Cost $25 per child.

Art Shack & Studio Classes

Once frequented by Butch Cassidy, the restored 1890s bar was moved from Thermopolis, Wyoming to Sundance Mountain Resort in 1994.

Live Music @ The Owl Bar

The Screening Room was built in 1987 as a place to showcase the work of the Sundance Institute Lab and the Sundance Film Festival. The 1,100 square-foot lobby features stone floors, a fireplace and sliding glass doors that open onto a lawn overlooking the waterfall and pond.&nbsp;

Things to Do

Welcome Dinner - Country Casual

For the welcome dinner (county-fair country casual), feel free to lean into warm plaids, denim, and cozy layers. Above all, dress for comfort and the spring mountain weather—temperatures can be cool after sunset on May 1.

Wedding Ceremony & Reception - Black-Tie Optional

Black tie–optional with a twist of Western: think tux or dark suit and formal dresses paired with a nod to rugged details—leather boots, a cowboy hat, or a bolo tie are welcome. The ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors with heaters (expect a high of 65°F); after sunset we’ll move indoors for dinner and temperatures could drop to around 40°F, so please bring a warm coat or fur wrap. Aim for classic, simple pieces in earthy tones—browns, deep greens, and neutrals—comfortably layered for changing spring mountain weather.

Farewell Brunch - Country Cozy

Cooler morning temperatures are expected—feel free to wear your travel clothes or warm UGGs with denim.

Dress Code

We’d love for our wedding party to stay with us at Sundance Mountain Resort for the weekend, May 1–3. We’ve arranged a discounted room block for our guests, and we hope everyone can stay on site to make the weekend feel relaxed, intimate, and full of time together. It’s such a special place to us, and we can’t wait to share the experience with our favorite people all weekend long.

Offering 3 restaurants and a spa for guests to enjoy after a day of skiing, this resort is 18 miles from Provo. Each room features free Wi-Fi (password SundanceWedding). All rooms offer an iPod docking station, a TV, coffee-making facilities and an private bathroom with a bathrobe at Sundance Mountain Resort. Select rooms feature a fireplace, a full kitchen, a dining area and a patio with mountain views. The Tree Room serves seasonal mountain cuisine Tuesday through Saturday at Sundance Mountain. Offering breakfast, lunch and dinner, Foundry Grill is open Monday through Saturday. Live music is featured every Friday and Saturday night at the Owl Bar.
